The Lost Files- Chapter 3

"So, who was phone?" Ben asked, causing Jeff to facepalm. "That was Slenderman. We have to get out of here, and fast" I stated. "How? If you haven't noticed, I can't walk right now" exclaimed Jeff, gesturing to his broken leg. I thought for a moment then ran outside, leaving the others confused. I found two sturdy branches of roughly the same length, cleaned them quickly, and brought them back to the cabin.

"Here Jeff, use these" I said, handing him the branches. Jeff looked at the branches, then used them to get to the door. Ben went to grab the video game system (cabin has a generator) and a few games. "Ben, leave them. We don't have time" I told him. "Aw, come on. I'm not taking all of them." Ben complained "just the system and Majora's Mask". "Alright, fine. But HURRY!" I interrupted him. In a few minutes, we were ready to go. We had our weapons out to defend ourselves as we started through the forest.

Now, I won't say that our journey continued without incident. Jeff's makeshift crutches broke at least twice and I swung my weapon at every shadow and almost hit Ben, but we eventually made it to the edge of the forest where Slenderman was waiting.

Oddly, the biggest challenge was get Jeff into the car (or van because we couldn't all fit in a car). We had to open the back and throw Jeff over the seat. "Ow! Dammit!" Jeff exclaimed, as he landed on the seat. I sat in the front seat next to Slendy, as it was the only seat left.

Jeff lay in the far back with his broken leg strapped into keep it from falling out. My sister Kaleena was sleeping in the seat behind the driver, holding Tails Doll and wrapped up in a blanket. Ben was in the other middle seat with Smile on the floor between them.The car wouldn't start for about fifteen minutes until Ben pointed out that Slenderman forgot to take the damn thing out of park. Then we were on our way to somewhere no one bothered to tell us.

Wherever we were going, we had to cut through town. So I threw Kaleena's blanket over Jeff to hide him so we wouldn't be pulled over. She looked surprised but understood. Jeff on the other hand, did not. He complained until we explained it to him, prompting a fit of laughter from Ben and Kaleena.

We didn't get pulled over though, and made it through town without much trouble. As we entered the forest on the other side of town, Jeff threw the blanket at Kaleena, who caught it without comment. When we were far enough away, I checked to see if I had forgotten anything.

I looked over the objects I brought. Besides clothes, I had my camcorder (I always have one), my katana (creepypasta survival guide rule 17: Japanese priests used katana swords to cleanse rooms, I needed something to hit ghosts with that can do damage), my necklace (not necessary, but I never take it off), my phone (for obvious reasons), and my flashlight (also obvious). I smiled. I had remembered everything I needed.
